Futures-Essex is dedicated to supporting the home education community by offering engaging sessions in Maths and English. These sessions not only enhance children’s learning but also provide valuable opportunities for them to socialise and build friendships.

Our sessions are part-time and purpose-specific, tailored to the individual needs of the young person.
Recognising the unique needs of home - educated children, we have designed our studio to be as far removed from a traditional school environment as possible. With a dining room feel, our space includes tables and chairs, cozy sofas, high seating like a breakfast bar, and bean bags, ensuring that learning can happen comfortably in any area. This thoughtful setup fosters a positive and welcoming atmosphere, making education a delightful experience for all.

We welcome communication from families who have chosen Elective Home Education (EHE) and are seeking supplementary support for their child or young person. Our EHE offer is designed to complement home education, not replace it. Parents remain fully responsible for their child’s education under Section 7 of the Education Act 1996, and our role is to provide part-time, specialist input that supports wellbeing, engagement, and personal development.

We do not act as a school, nor do we deliver a full-time or broad academic curriculum. Our provision forms one element of a wider home education approach, which may include learning arranged by parents, tutors, online resources, or community activities.

Parental Responsibility and Declaration
Families accessing our Elective Home Education (EHE) offer are required to confirm that their child is electively home educated and that they retain full responsibility for ensuring a suitable and appropriate education. Our provision forms part of a supplementary, part-time offer and is not intended to be the main or sole source of education. This understanding is confirmed through an EHE Declaration, which must be completed before a child begins with us and is reviewed periodically to ensure clarity and compliance.
