Futures-Essex is a nurturing and inclusive alternative provision, supporting children and young people who may be experiencing challenges such as emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSA), anxiety, SEN, or who are home educated, access education and social sessions.

We work closely with local partners to co-create bespoke workshops, therapeutic youth sessions, and mentoring support, all designed to meet the individual needs of the young people we serve. Our work is rooted in relational, trauma-informed practice, and driven by a belief in every young person’s potential to thrive when given the right environment and support.

Our Studio is tucked away in the heart of the Essex countryside in Bicknacre, up a leafy, tree-lined lane and far from the noise and pressure of towns and cities. It’s a peaceful place where students can take a breath and find their feet again.

There’s no uniform here and no strict rules about how you have to learn. Whether you’re most comfortable at a desk, stretched out on the floor, or curled up on the sofa, we want you to feel at ease. Everyone learns differently, and that’s exactly how it should be.
